iceni is delighted to announce that our work for Creative Partnerships, Mediabox and the Association of Town Centre Management has received recognition from the US International Film and Video Festival.
Winning the Gold Camera Award in the ‘Internet Programming: Virals Production’ category is a film featuring the real fake Queen of England.
The viral was created to promote the Association of Town Centre Management’s World Congress event in 2010 to an international audience.
In the ‘Social Issues’ and Education category, iceni received the Certificate for Creative Excellence for the film ‘Normals.’ The educational film was produced for George Salter Collegiate Academy, funded by Mediabox and Creative Partnerships and devised by 24 young people aged between 13 and 16.
As well as cycling, I’m interested in vintage sports cars, and 2009 celebrates 75 years of the Vintage Sports-Car Club with the ‘Hawthorn Memorial Trophies Meeting’ at Oulton Park last weekend.
I arrived in the morning which allowed attendees access to the paddock to view the cars including some nice pre-war examples up to modern day machines followed by some vintage car racing in the afternoon.
Hi there. It’s Gaz in the Post Production team again…
First of my charity bike rides down and even managed to reap a place in the Stafford Express & Star newspaper. The good weather, my bike and I turned up bright and early to start the event, setting off from Katharine House Hospice in Stafford.
The 25 mile route took us through the countryside of Staffordshire in a time of 2 hours, which wasn’t helped with the detour to stock up on sun cream during the ride.
The event is set to be a success with its biggest turn out as of yet and has thought to have helped raise over £17,500 for Katharine House Hospice.
Andi and the crew are currently out filming in Hong Kong with Cathay Pacific, Hong Kong Tourism Board and Travel 2.
Reports of exploring the spiritual side of Hong Kong, including Tai Chi on the waterfront and monks in the mountains, all sound very glamorous. This, coupled with the long hours of hard work, and the stunning scenery should make for a great film.
Watch this space…

Foxy runs an infamous, eponymous bar on Jost van Dyke, the Caribbean island that time forgot.
As a thank you for his kind assistance and hospitality on a recent shoot, we’re spreading the word about the Jost Van Dyke Preservation Society (JVDPS).
JVDPS is a not for profit organisation, based in the British Virgin Islands. The Society is dedicated to preserving the land, surrounding sea and wildlife of this Caribbean paradise for the benefit of future generations.
It was billed as the ultimate conference travel incentive: a week on the largest sailing yacht in the world.
iceni’s conference team provided a/v support for a conference featuring some of network marketings highest fliers. The week included a trip to the famous Foxy’s bar on Jost van Dyke, a pirate party, and a Kleeneze’s got Talent show.
Cathy, producer and director on the event, filmed of all the activities and interviewed delegates when there was a quiet moment.
Back at our Midlands studio, a highlights DVD was produced and delivered to every delegate as part of an exclusive ‘event pack’. The pack included a big photo of everyone on the trip, and a letter from Kleeneze’s Managing Director, in a presentation folder.
As well as the highlights DVD the pack included a bottle of reggae reggae sauce, ready for sun kissed delegates to cook up a caribbean culinary reminder of a wonderful week in paradise.
