The Ultimate Conference Event

cathy-cm2-iceni-blog

The conference team’s all back from the ‘Ultimate Destination’ - a week long event on the world’s largest sailing yacht, criss crossing the Caribbean Sea.

Sun, sea, sailing, a talent contest, a pirate party, a conference and training sessions. Highlights from the event to follow in a later post. In the meantime I’m trying to get the sand out of the kit…

Well Done

Birmingham poet laureate Dreadlockalien recites a poem called ‘Well Done.’

This clip is taken from Making a Difference to Children in Care, our latest DVD release for Birmingham City Council.

Making a Difference to Children in Care is an essential resource for teachers, tutors, mentors, foster carers, and support staff, exploring the challenges Looked After Children face, and the agencies that are here to help them.

The resource features compelling interviews with children in care, and insight from the Birmingham Educational Psychology Service, the Children, Young People and Families Directorate and Social Services.

The DVD includes supporting notes and more information about Looked after Children, what happens after referral to Social Services, the Looked After Children Education Service, and how social workers and carers can support the education of children in care.

iceni Climbs the Charts

thank-you-blog

The recent publication of the Televisual Corporate 50 list was greeted with great pleasure here at the iceni office. The jump into 29th place is great for the team, following all the hard work and creative projects we’ve produced over the previous 12 months.

The Corporate 50 ranks companies on size, number of commissions, turnover and  reputation within the industry . The rise and rise of iceni is due, we think, to our strong customer focus and the valuable relationships we have built with our customers.

So we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for working with us, and challenging our creative team to deliver top quality, effective video, web and design projects.

Thank you.

Black Country Student Awards

ladsedit1

Chris and Stephen from Shelfield School joined us for the day to complete their short film as part of the Black Country Challenge Student Awards prize

In February they spent a day with Rebecca, iceni’s Head of Educational Media, filming their ‘History of Shelfield’ documentary. The pupils not only worked as camera and sound operators but also directed and planned the shoot.

Today saw Chris and Stephen complete their prize as they enjoyed a day at the studio editing their film.
