Sunday brought on the latest round of the Whyte winter race series. After a lovely dry day on the saturday, and a lot of optimism from a Christmas of good training, (one less mince pie a day). Waking up on sunday to see rain with a weather forecast of lots more of it to come, knowing that this was going to change the track from a lovely fast flowing piece of singletrack to a sticky muddy mess, which would extremely hard going (I did think of staying in bed - I must admit).
With the bike all setup it was off to the starting line for the start of the 2-Hour Solo Male 18-39 race.
It was good fun for the first lap, sliding all over the place in what I would call a big sloppy mud pie, but doing the second lap turned in to survival of the fittest. I’m sure that mud got deeper and thicker, but finishing in just over 2 hours I managed to break into the top 100 of an extremely talented field made up of lots of fast youngsters, which I’m sure we will see in the 2012 olympics.
Bring on race 4 which is the last race of my first winter series.

‘We are happy to announce the official results for the 2009 Film & Video Awards. Congratulations on this honor. The work entered into this year’s competition scored exceptionally well, and our 2009 international Grand Jury - who judged all of the work online for the first time this year - were highly impressed by a great deal of what they saw.’

Saturday January the 3rd is the Kleeneze New Year Showcase - and the launch of the 2010 sales travel incentive to the beautiful city of Cape Town.
I visited Cape Town to film the launch video a couple of months ago - we packed all the sights into the couple of days shoot, pitting Sony’s latest HDCAM camera against sun, sea, sand and some nice South African shiraz.
The film launched to an audience of distributors at the NIA in Birmingham, and everyone got a copy on DVD as they left the event. New for 2009 is a DVD box set with an accompanying audio CD featuring some rousing motivational music from the film.
Visit our web team’s latest microsite at www.cape-town2010.co.uk - and view the launch film, download desktop wallpapers and read a detailed itinerary of Kleeneze’s next adventure.
